Throughout Evan's 14 years in the mortgage industry, he has helped hundreds of individuals and their families qualify for a mortgage even when it was thought impossible. Evan is an award winner for the Five Star Mortgage Professional Award for 2015-2018. He is licensed to originate loans in Colorado, California, Florida, Texas, Oregon, and Washington. When Evan isn’t at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife. They are both very proud pet parents to their adorable rescued bulldog/boxer mix named Sully. NMLS# 128384

Gain Some Basic Knowledge On Our Loan Process

1 Get Started

First off, let's get to know one another, shall we? Are you Purchasing, refinancing, looking into an investment property, have no idea how much you qualify for, are you a Active Duty Military or a Veteran, or maybe you're self-employed and not sure how to qualify? This is where we answer any questions you may have, discuss your goals and begin to create a financing game plan.

2 Loan Application

After creating your financing game plan, we begin the loan application, verify your credit score, help you determine how much you qualify for and get you a pre-approval letter making you a more credible buyer. What's difference between a pre-qualification and pre-approval? At Summit Mortgage Corporation, a pre-qualification takes just a few minutes to answer some financial questions along with a quick credit check and review with our automated underwriting system and we tell you how much you can borrow. A Pre-approval is where we verify your assets and income to show home sellers that you are a serious buyer. This is huge in highly competitive markets. Now go shop for your new home!

3 Shop and Process

Shop around for your ideal home with a reputable real estate agent. If you need us to refer you to an agent, we can help you with that just as well. Once you have found your perfect home and your contact is accepted, it’s time to gather any missing documents from the qualifying stage, electronically sign initial disclosures and begin processing your loan.

4 Lock Your Rate

We lock your rate and submit your loan to our underwriting team. Your loan officer will typically receive a “Conditional Approval” naming any items that the underwriter wishes to see and review in order to officially approve your loan.

5 Appraisal & Title

We order, schedule, complete, and review your appraisal and title. We then prepare your loan for closing and provide wiring instructions. Verification and conditions is essential where we review and provide any final information that we may need from you. We then go over all the loan documentation with you and schedule the signing. You have finally made it this far and you are so close to becoming a real deal homeowner.

6 Close

We arrive to our scheduled closing where you sign all required documents. Both the seller and buyer have their own portion of documents to complete and sign. We confirm the details like funding and recording. The seller will then hand over the almighty keys to your new home!  Congratulations! You made it through the process and now have a place you can call your own! A party is in order!
